The Aspire CCS Guide to Europe’s E‑Invoicing Mandate
Why postponing is no longer an option. The deadlines are a patchwork — Germany from 2025, most of Europe between 2026 and 2028, and full ViDA convergence by 2030.
What the guide covers
Six chapters, roughly 15,000 words, on what the mandates require, when each market bites, and what it means for the systems that produce customer communications.
- Introduction — why this report, and who it is for
- What e‑invoicing is, and why it matters now
- The regulatory landscape and implementation deadlines
- Enterprise impact and readiness
- Navigating the software and supplier landscape
- E‑invoicing as enterprise communication and digital experience
The patchwork, in short
A growing number of member states have introduced or announced B2B mandates, with timelines concentrated between 2025 and 2028 — and no two alike in format, model or scope.
- 2025Germany requires structured invoice reception, with mandatory issuance phased in through 2028.
- 2026–28France and Poland introduce significant mandates from 2026; Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia and Ireland follow — each on its own timetable and its own national format.
- 2028–30ViDA becomes the convergence point, and the patchwork begins to resolve.
